Vintage Ring, Ametrine, 10kt. Gold Ametrine Rectangular Cut Ring - appx 4.5 carats. - pretty

$ 255.00

This is an estate ring that is appealing and perplexing.  It is marked 10kt and after that FL - which is a term for flawless. It is a pretty ring but not flawless and I doubt it was brand new. It is very pretty and the gold is a thinner weight but you see a lot of it so it gives a very rich look. It was sold as 10kt, is stamped 10kt, and tested 10kt. The weight is 5 grams.

The stone is an ametrine - which is a combination of amethyst and citrine - when it appears in the same quartz. It is possible this is lab created only because on close inspection the yellow corner (there are two corners but it appears only in one corner) under very bright light and close inspection you can see a deeper orange to red speck and a little splotz - not sure if this is something when it was made, appeared natural in the stone, or is lab created and was not supposed to be there - or some form of paint or something from when it was worn. I did try and clean it away but it seemed to not really change.

The gold band on the sides where it would touch the other fingers has a slightly darker appearance - it is possible it was a chemical reaction from either the person wearing it or some other source.  I bought this from an estate and if this were a perfect ring would be asking a  lot more for it but was able to get it at a decent price due to poor attendance and bad weather - it is being offered at a much lower price to move it along and because I was able to obtain it at a discounted prince. If you purchase this, realize it comes with questions that I cannot answer - but looking at it, it is a stunning ring. I would not classify it as a fine jewelry store ring because of the weight of the gold but more a discount jewelry store - like Sear's or something like that.

Please note that most of my photos are taken at 10X magnification. This shows any blemishes much more magnified than they really are.

I keep great notes about each item and can answer most questions quickly, but I do not store fine jewelry on premises, so answers about specific measurements may take some time as I arrange to inspect the piece again.

In addition to this website, Maria's Vintage, I am on eBay as stampshopgirl, on Etsy as stampshopgirl, and on StorEnvy as Maria's. I have many vintage jewelry items and other vintage and new items - a very wide variety.

I will combine shipping, even if you buy items from one of my other stores. If you purchase one item and know you’ll be picking more, just email me and let me know and I will ship them at the same time and refund the shipping over the combined limit.

Given the number of different items I carry it is hard to know what combination of items can be purchased to pre-plan the shipping, so just email me and we will work it out to save you shipping charges whenever possible.
